He's Super......
Okay, so last six week grading period, one Cadet struggled to make his PAR (potential achievement rate). He made it...but he "struggled" (So he says).
Then, without a single word on Grades from Mom or Dad, he kicked it in gear, and kicked it in the butt. The result? He recorded a 3.7 for this six week period. It makes him on the Superintendent's List. It makes him "Supers" which gives him all kinds of privileges.
What caused the turnaround? Especially since spring fever his just now hitting the campus? Simple. We were talking about this summer, and I indicated that I was going to have to wait to add him to the insurance for the car (thereby making him wait to get his temps and license), as we "really couldn't afford a teenage male - who couldn't qualify for the good student discount". Yeah..I am that tricky, and that evil! But it seemed to have worked.
