Last week flew
Wow...last week flew by. Busily completing a major project at work that racked up the hours, there was very little down time for me to blog, clean house...or even think sometimes. But I am pleased to report that the project was completed, on time and on spec! YEA ME.. (Of course, part of the project was making a MAJOR Corporate Karaoke Presentation....it ain't complete until you have a gazillion slides with appropriate animations....ask me about the dancin lobster sometime!!).
But that doesn't mean that life stopped at home by any means!
His Royal Cuteness
One young King has found an affinity for Dodgeball and likes to play it repeatedly in the evenings (in fact...he's playing it with you below!)!
He also managed to structure his nap correctly to make the hockey session yesterday (sorry no pics..they were too grainy and blurry!). Again the smiles abounded....he loves being on the ice, although lasts only 5 minutes or so. (Its tough work!). He enjoyed playing with "Shorty" and trying to skate with him (a forward off the Prince's teams of yesteryear)...and Shorty and his dad (Along with the King's dad!) just love to watch the newest little rodent enjoy his time on the ice.
He continues to amaze us, especially given that his older sibling isn't around, with his vocabulary....current words in major use include: Probably, Possibly, Tasty, "Game On..." and "durn my defense" and "let's go ladies" (thanks to Dodgeball..the Movie) etc....which definitely aren't two year old words/phrases! Makes us laugh!
The Hobbled Prince
The Prince wrestled sectionals this past Saturday. He ended his season above .500, and came in 7th out of 9 in the sectionals. Pretty cool for a first year wrestler.
In the process of sectionals, he managed to over extend the ligaments in one of his knees, and ended up with a trip to the ER upon returning to school. The very active prince is now learning to deal with a leg brace and crutches for a few days.... Fun for him since it is about 10 degrees up there and the ground has about 8" of snow on it. Of course..in truest Prince fashion, he doesn't care..and is enjoying the attention. After all, it isn't a successful season unless he ends it with an injury! "Can't wait for baseball season...."
