Weeeeeeeee're Off to see the Doctor...
The Wonderful Doctor of Oz...
Great news! The Lukey-Meister's pediatrician is open on the weekend. Good thing because the Lukey decided to spike one of those baby fevers that reached 103.5 on Friday. (Which 103.5 is a great local radio station..it stinks as far as fevers go). Augmentin in the fridge is now the order of the day (no ordinary pink stuff for this ear infection..we are bringing out the heavy artillary!). Sigh. His prescription haul reads like some of the elders in the family...1/4 tsp of this, 1/2 teaspoon of that, 1/2 teaspoon of the other, and if the other doesn't work..we are off to "pump him up" with some steroids. Okay..so I can do this med-call thing...I got it all together......
and then...
Cough cough cough goes the 12 year old. "Moooommmmmm I don't feel good". I hear he had a little breathing trouble on the ice yesterday...hmmm...perhaps someone is coming down with something?

Another Doctor in Oz...
Off goes Hunter to see his doctor. Back comes Hunter with his very own Z-Pac, an order of Singulair, an over-the-counter chest breaker upper, and a note that says no school or hockey until at least Thursday. Fa-stinkin'-bu!
Out comes the Vitamin C and Zinc for Mom and Dad, the "bu bankey" for Lukey, Mom's pillow for Hunter.....and a padded room for Mom (I won't let Dad in.......he might be carrying the plague!).
If you were thinking of visiting us soon.....you might want to rethink that. Seems that the winter nasties have set in, and weare thinking that they like the accommodations here in Oz!
