Two more weekends!
I have to tell you that I am seriously looking forward to the end of hockey. Two more tournaments (aka weekends!) and it is done! One in Cincinnati, one in Nashville. Yea! Two more practices, totalling 6 more days of hockeyness...then it is a team party...and BUH-BYE hockey season. YIPPEE!
Was laughing at my sister's account of snow in Virginia. We too are facing more snow here in our little southern/northern state...and the panic it brings actually brings a laugh to Mr. Oz and I. Lets see...do we have our 30 gallons of milk and 20 loaves of bread? Do we have our 60 packs of toilet paper? After all, there is about 1.5" of snow predicted..and who knows when the grocery store might open up after that style of blizzard......BWA HAHAHAHAH. My personal favorite is when the car is slipping and sliding around on the roadways -- not from the 1.5" of predicted snow..oh no....that hasn't fallen yet...it is from the 1.5" of road salt that they have thrown down in the anticipation of the 1.5" of snow. So lets do the math...1.5" of road salt...plus the weatherman's predictions (which have had a habit of NOT coming true....) equal one dinged up car from all of the road salt being thrown back from cars ahead. Winter...gotta love it. Of course..during the Xmas Holiday.....the roads were TERRIBLE (14" of snow...no 1.5" salt base) and the road crews in our fair city were all sitting on the on ramps waiting for the snow to stop (and the roads to rut due to traffic to be sure)...before salting or plowing. Um folks....the roads stay bad...if you don't try to clear as it is coming down (and then they freeze overnight...imagine that!). Sheesh..you would swear that this city has never seen snow..yet in the 7 years we have lived here....we have seen well over 150" of snow total...hmmmm....guess this northern girl doesn't have a clue right?!
