What's That...a real weekend?

Whew..this weekend seemed to go by in a blur! Friday was my flex day at work, which meant that I got out of work at 1:30. How wonderful! Hunter was home from school so we went on a Mom/Son date to Ryan's (whoo hoo!) before picking up Lukey from "school".

Yesterday's hockey schedule was conducive to a home life (which is amazing!). Two games, both at home, one at 12:45, one at 4:45. I was able to get the housework done BEFORE we left the house in the morning. Too too cool.

Hunter's games were awesome! He played amazingly well (not that he doesn't walways..but he really stepped up his game!). He added two goals to his tally (in the second game) along with sparking a ton of offensive and defensive plays in both games. One of the Moms (not ME...okay?!) yelled out several times to the kids on the ice "play like Hunter!!!". His coach, who is generally extremely critical of Hunter, was thrilled with his play and indicated that he couldn't have asked for one ounce more out of this kid. Was fun to watch....

Last night, we actually got a babysitter for Luke (Hutner was at a teammates house) and went out to dinner with friends. Had a deliciously wonderful time...and really felt relaxed and at ease.

Today involved some grocery shopping, some napping for each of the Oz clan, and in general....a whole lotta nuthin!

While all of these may seem mundane....to a hockey family...this weekend was bliss..goals, cleaning accomplished, errands run, and dinner out with families who AREN'T related to hockey.....sigh....I am sad to see Monday come.
