What a great weekend!
(Sorry ..no pics....didn't get the camera out!)
Had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend just hanging around the house and doing housey type things.
Sr. Oz continues to work on the chemical soup that is our pool...have managed to kill off a major algae colony..and now working to clear the water up so that the pool can officially be declared open. Okay...so it is only a month later than last year...but the weather hasn't been as warm yet (we have been having wonderful 75 degree days...rather than the usual 85....) so it hasn't been that big of a deal!
I managed to get the last of my impatients in the ground on Sunday morning. They had been sitting in their trays since mothers day, as I had an area that I wanted to kill of vegetation before planting. Raking, turning, and 9 40-lb bags of top soil later and the impatients are looking great and are happy in their new home!
Older Oz child had a friend spend the night on Sunday night..which kept him occupied...and kept the younger oz child occupied as well (new faces=new people to smile at!)
With the antibiotic working on younger Oz in full force, he was back to normal, tearing up the joint...and giving that little "who me" grin when getting busted for getting into things...I had forgotten how fun it was to see that little toddler smile!
Yesterday, there was a Court barbecue for the folks who live on our fine Court, hosted by our neighbor two doors down. It was great getting to meet more of the folks that we hadn't met yet...well...that Sr. Oz and I hadn't met yet..as the majority of folks we talked to (when we indicated which house was ours) said "Oh..are you Hunter's parents?". Is that good or bad?! Well...we weren't asked to leave..so it must have been good!
