How teens and toddlers are alike...

Indulge me in my rumination as to how teenagers and toddlers are not all that different from one another....

Teenagers hate getting up in the morning and drag butt all around the house moaning about how unfair school is....because they wanted to be up half the night partying and chatting on AIM.

Toddlers aren't that thrilled about early mornings either...grumbling because they wanted to be up half the night partying and looking for playmates!

Teenagers mumble responses and speak their own language (a not very grammatically correct one to be sure!) with about 1/3 of all words spoken intelligible.

Toddlers respond in their own language, with about 1/3 of all words spoken intelligible.

Teenagers know exactly what they want for dinner, and whatever you are making isn't it.

Toddlers know exactly what they want for dinner, and whatever you are making looks good on the floor.

Teenagers shove clothes and other "stuff" under their bed in an effort to clean their room.

Toddlers shove toys and other "stuff" under their bed in an effort to hide them AND because it looks like a good place to store stuff.

Teenagers throw fits when told "No".

Toddlers...yeah...the fit with "No" happens with them too!

Teenagers love to while away the hours tap tap tapping on the keys of the computer to chat with their friends.

Toddlers love to while away the hours tap tap tapping on the keys of the computer to hear it make noise.

Teenagers ignore you when asked to do something.

Toddlers ignore you when asked to do something.

So this is a shout out to all parents of Teenagers and Toddlers together....whew....it is a crazy business!

Love...The Mom to a future Senior in Highschool/Kindergartener....
