Then the seal barked.....

Somebody...I won't say "whom" except I can call him Regis or Rex....decided early yesterday morning to wake up at 5:00 a.m. (could it be that he and his mommy fell asleep at 730 p.m. on Friday night?!) First words outta his mouth were very scratchy......then he started barking......seal barking....

For those of you who haven't had little ones in a while, the sound of a seal barking from your toddler is not only scary...but very easy to diagnose.....tis Croup.

Greeeaaaaaat. All day long yesterday, you could hear the tight cough..and Rex sounded very hoarse. Overnight..he was very restless, and was up and down having barky coughs and major rattles on the inspiration of breath......fab.....it had settled in..and I get to get very little sleep.

So off to the "Sauna" of a steamy bathroom, a dose of tylenol....then a little barney action on the Tv (at 4:30 in the morning..yippee!) before someone finally settled down and I could catch another hour of sleep.....

Hey God...we stayed home...can we stop the plagues now?

Just a little positive reinforcement as to why the trip needed to be cancelled. Give the King a hug from us!
