My little reader...

The cadet, when he was little, would only sit to read when we captured him, and had a book in our hand. He loved to have someone read to him...but didn't often seek out story time.

The King, on the other hand...is his mother's son, and can oft be found with a book or two (or 10!). He seeks us out to read to him...and if we aren't "available"...he sits on the bottom step of the great room and reads to himself. (He tells himself wonderful stories!). It warms this mom's heart!

If he notices that you skip a page or two, then he really takes after his Mom and his Aunt C in a big way. When you were little, you would bring books to R or me. We would read the book time and time again, frequently tring to get done quicker by skipping a few pages. But you had the books memorized, would catch us and turn the page back to where we skipped. Here's to all the early learning!

He definitely notices....skipping pages must be a big brother thing...because the cadet has tried it with the King..and the King is not happy when it occurs!
