Cadet Oz.......World Traveler........

Received several calls from the cadet as he awaited his connecting flight from O'Hare to home this afternoon. Although he hasn't flown commercially before, he has taken to the whole traveler thing with great aplomb. First..he successfully put himself in standby status for an earlier flight...but was #3 for two available seats. He gave the "chatting up the gate agent" a great shot though..they offered to try to get him into Lexington KY....(they realized after they had called #1 and #2 that #3 probably could have used the seat more due to his cast, and age).

Then...like the Faison progeny that he is.... He hopped a tram, went to a new terminal (where his flight would depart 2.5 hours later), found his gate (got his bearings!).....then was off to play DUN DUN DUN.....Cadet OZ....World Traveler. Headed off to get a few essentials for the role....then back to the gate to call his Mom. If you would have had real time video on him at that time - you would have seen....

A young man, sitting in a seat, his casted leg propped up next to him, casually chatting on the cell phone, sipping on a Starbucks frappucino, absently thumbing through a Time Magazine.

And that is why I now call him...."Cadet Oz (or princess grace..your choice!).....World Traveler"

(Oh..and he called me ten minutes ago..he has boarded...and is looking forward to being home by 6:00)
