Its kinda getting funny.....

It is kinda getting funny. Well, maybe not funny, but.......

The King has a trunk rash (meaning the trunk of his body has a rash on it). No change in soap, no change in diet, no change in anything...which means I then look for physical symptoms...right? "Open Your Mouth King...." Tonsils the size of Clementines...in a throat the size of..a toddler...and they are red. Most Moms know that Trunk Rash and Huge Red Tonsils = Strep...most likely. (Especially us Dr. Moms!) So he will be going to the pediatrician..most likely tomorrow a.m.

Are you laughing with me yet? No? Shaking your head saying "Oh Mrs. Oz........" Warm up your giggler...cuz...

The infirmary called me this morning. The Cadet has been fighting a sore throat, the ickies, etc. This morning, he didn't make his usual stop at the infirmary table to tell the nurse that he wasn't feeling well (as he has done for the past three days)...he just quietly took his seat and put his head down. The Infirmary Nurse...being...well..a nurse..thought..Okay..now he really isn't feeling well. She chatted with him for a few minutes..looked at his HUGE tonsils (which we know he ALWAYS has..but they are bigger than normal), his dark eye circles and his pale face....and made the call to send him over to the (out-of-network mind you) Doctor. Okey Dokey. He comes back with a negative rapid strep test (the full blown one is still out), and two holes in his arm where they drew blood. Country Doc didn't like the looks of the Cadet's throat, nor his gazillion large lymph nodes..and decides to draw blood. The initial diagnosis is Tonsillitis...but the Doc thinks that (GIGGLE GIGGLE) it could be Mono. The blood will be back tomorrow a.m.

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Lets laugh together.

And I was in SUCH a good mood today! But you know what? I am not being fatalistic anymore. Kids get sick..moms pay out thousands of dollars to keep them well, and the universe will be tipping my way shortly. I just feel it!

(Don't ya just wanna tune in tomorrow to find out what bus may be bearing down on us next? My bet? The HAPPY Bus. Seriously....God's plan is a solid one...I am sure.....)
