Fall in Lower Michigan

Since the weather was pretty dry over the summer, and since we faced a few "drownings" early in the season and then late in the season, there has been plenty of concern that the fall colors might not be "anything special", or quite frankly, might not be anything at all. In fact, starting in early August, some of the trees began to just drop their leaves.

That being said - there are several species of trees that managed to "hold on" long enough to hit their stride in Fall Color. So, here is an example, taken on the Little River Railroad train a few hours ago, of God's handiwork with his fall paintbrush. Gosh I love fall!
