Mine that Bird

Enjoyed watching the Derby yesterday, and the win couldn't have happened to a nicer jockey (Calvin Borel). Calvin is a simple man, truly, from Louisiana, and his celebration at taking a little horse (much smaller than all of the others) on the ride of both of their lives was really neat to watch. It proves yet again, that on the First Saturday in May, a little horse, a small stable, a relatively unknown trainer, and a nice guy jockey can go up against the big guns, big money, and the big names, and still come out on top!

Way to go Mine that Bird! The Run For the Roses will forever have your name engraved in its history!
