Oh there's no place like home ......

A little guy named King woke up this morning and came in to wake up his Momma this morning. Not too early, not too late (thanks King!). Of course, then we had to head out to the living room to see what the day would bring us.

As far as the King was concerned...first things first. He went over and plugged in the Christmas Tree. Only then did he declare the day started.

I think this is the first year that he is totally Christmas Psyched - moving the snowflake on the Santa December calendar daily (and trying to sneak it onto the 24th as often as he can). Turning on the tree every morning. Wanting to sit on every Santa's lap that we see (in the mall, at the local department stores). Singing along to Christmas Carols on the radio with the vigor that only a 5 year old boy seems to have.

What a magical time for him. While I know (sadly) that it will someday come to an end, for now, I think Perry Como had it right when he said "There is no place like home for the holidays". Especially when there is a little boy who so delights in the magical mystery of the most wonderful time of the year.
