A Whole week?

A whole week has flown by without me updating the blog? How could that happen? It must be the time of year, what with holiday planning, holiday cleaning, and just general holiday laziness on my part (I love the holidays...tis an excuse for WHATEVER you want!) As such, tis time for another round of "deep thoughts".....or at least a bulleted update!

The King - The king is getting into the holiday spirit. Nope, we haven't decorated yet, but he is beginning to think a lot like Christmas. His big wish for a present this year? A camera. Just ask him. In fact, he has asked for one soooo much, that his brubah has said "Mom, ya gotta get one for him and let me give it to him". Okay, what does a two year old know about a camera? Nothing in fact. Wandering through the great and wonderful Wallie World yesterday, we handed him a Supersounds View Master (sounds? In a view master? WTH?) and he believed THAT was a camera....hmmm....9.99? It just might work.

The King (Part Deux) - Again with the holiday spirit, we stopped by the Dollar Store yesterday, and as a joke, slipped an elf hat on the King as he sat in the cart. He proceeded to sing, at the top of his lungs, throughout the remainder of the store, "JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS JINGLE ALL THE WAY.....WLKJLA;KJSDFLASDKFJA;LDFJK (<-- toddler speak for Oh What Fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh)) He had many of the folks in the store laughing visibly, and others smiling widely. That, of course, egged him on more! One grandmotherly lady sidled up to me and said "You know, you really ought to record that for the future". (Shush Dad F....I know). Twas too cute.

Holiday Preparations - Very little has been done holiday wise. But that is about to change. I only have 2 weeks until the Cadet comes home, and have to get the Christmas Decorating underway. Of course, that is in between the Christmas Parties, cookie exchanges, etc. That's okay....getting a tree up in my house and the house decorated is truly always a Christmas Miracle...and it always happens!

Mr. Oz - Mr. Oz has begun helping out a local travel hockey team in coaching their goalies. (The most undercoached position on the ice). He has been having a ton of fun with the kids and getting some exercise in the process. On a "Did you Know" note...did ya know that Mr. Oz has officially lost 35 lbs since September? Way to go Mr. Oz!

Mrs. Oz - Yeah..well...holiday decorations, baking, and cleaning rule right now...along with the full time job of being a mommy....and the full time job that I have during the day. Fun huh!

The Cadet - The cadet is currently 2-1 in wrestling (2-0 in Conference Wrestling). He is truly enjoying his Freshman Year....I envy him!
